Artist: Booker Morey

Mr. Morey discovered a process for exposing the fine vein structure in leaves. This is a relatively new art, practiced only since 1993, and exclusively by Mr. Morey. His inventive and artistic nature brings you these lacey leaves in hand built shadowboxes highlighting the natural structure and colorful leaf surfaces. The shadowboxes can hang or stand, vertically or horizontally. Yes, the leaves are real!

 
     
 


Sunset Stroll on Sunset Drive
Please join us at Morning Star Gallery during Sunset Stroll on Sunset Drive from 5:30 PM - 8:00 PM on Friday nights preceding Art in the Park in Blowing Rock. You might hear music on the porch, you'll meet some of our artists, and we'll all enjoy light refreshments in good company. The businesses on Sunset Drive will all be open late that night, so come and enjoy!

Morning Star Gallery presents the current exhibition of paintings and photography, a visual expression of artists' interpretations of the joys only this time of year can bring. Sun drenched hillsides painted by Greg Osterhaus, Mother Earth paintings from Trena McNabb, Jim Ruff's photography, and Brad Stroman's paintings are included with others.
