Artist: Wes Waugh

Wes Waugh is known throughout the Southeast for his extraordinary watercolors and prints. He is one of the region's leading landscape artists.

Wes has also refined his giclee' skills, and all of the prints are made by him in his Boone studio. The giclee's are printed with archival inks on high quality, acid-free watercolor paper. The framed art that you see in the gallery is presented with acid-free mats and backing under museum glass with UV protection. The giclee's Wes prints are typically dominated by bold color washes, and reflect techniques and surfaces to best portray the nature and essence of his subjects.

Being a lifelong outdoor enthusiast has contributed greatly to the direction of his work, as images collected over the years of backpacking, canoeing, and fishing excursions often form the base from which new art evolves.

Wes states, "I find comfort in knowing that remote wilderness areas still exist, and often draw from my personal experiences in visiting these areas..." as sources for fresh art.

"I wanted to drop you a quick note to thank you for all your help and phone calls regarding the money clips I'm after. It seems nowadays that most retailers won't go out of their way to help people, so I'm particularly happy about the way you've helped me. Next time I'm visiting my brother, we'll be sure to stop in and say hello..."

"Maggie, thank you for your excellent customer service..."
